Pine trees are evergreen coniferous trees that can be found throughout the Blockheads world. They are one of the most abundant trees in the game and can be found both naturally or be grown on dirt or compost.
Pine trees are found in every land region and climatic zone except desert.
Pine trees are among the easiest trees to recognize. They are the tallest trees in the game and may top out at over 30 blocks in height. They have long light brown grained trunks with heavy dark green leaves. Being an evergreen, as the seasons change, the color of the leaves on a pine tree will not change to reflect the appropriate season. Some trunk blocks will have leaves overlaying them, but they are still part of the trunk. There may be pine cones hanging upon the leaves.
Pine trees occasionally will produce pine cones from its leaves. Pine Cones are harvested by hand and can be collected by passing through their space or when adjacent to the pine cone after it was tapped on. They do not require nor do they benefit from using any particular tools. Agriculturally, pine cones can be placed in a block of dirt or compost to grow a pine tree for farming additional pine cones or tree resources.
Wood may be also harvested from the tree's trunk. Doing so will despawn any leaves or trunk blocks on the same layer or above. For harvesting wood, using an axe will produce quicker results and a larger yield than by hand.
Dropbears are routinely found perched in pine trees and probably spawn near them.
